the real mccoy

Sometimes I get it into my head that I can't live another second without tasting a Real McCoy salad from the Art City Trolley in Springville. It's this cute little restaurant right off Main Street. The butt of the building is a real-life trolley car. Quaint, no?

Whenever I feel the urge to eat there, I always give Whitney a call. The Art City Trolley dining experience wouldn't be the same without her. Lucky for me, she drops whatever she's doing to be my dinner date.

For some unexplainable reason, the two of us are always seated at the exact same table. I'm not kidding. We've been there at least five or six times, and we're always ushered to same old spot. You can actually eat in the trolley car itself.... but I'm still waiting for it to happen. However, I figure the odds are stacking up in our favor. You can only eat at the same table so many times in a row, right?

The hour we spend dining there is heaven on earth:

1) The service is incredible. The waiters are cute, punk-rock high school boys. They seem rather edgy, but they are so nice -- especially to the older couples that come in. I love that. I don't know what the management tells them, but those boys succeed in melting everyone's heart. Especially mine.

2) The Real McCoy salad is divine. I can't foresee a day when it will cease to entice me.

3) Most importantly, Whitney and I have the chance to catch up. We always end up laughing our faces off.

*And yes, this is the same restaurant that Quinn and Abby eat at in the movie Everything You Want. Another reason why I love it so.
