In the wake of BYU's stunning 14-13 upset over No. 3 Oklahoma, spontaneous celebrations erupted throughout this city and lasted well into the early hours of the morning on Sunday.
BYU fans formed impromptu gatherings at places like LaVell Edwards Stadium, the Marriott Center, and the Wilkinson Center, among others, and several hundred of them showed up at the Provo Municipal Airport to welcome home the team when it landed at 1:45 in the morning.
It was a celebration unlike anything Provo had experienced in a long time."

School athletic pride isn't exactly my forte. In fact, I think BYU football fans can be particularly annoying -- so I tend to steer away from the trash-talk, the booing, and the murderously loyal fan club.
However, when I watched the student body welcome home the football team early Sunday morning, my blood turned an awesome shade of blue, and I began to wish I had stuck around Provo for the entire weekend.
Way to go boys. I loved watching your jubilation. You'll make a loyal fan of me yet.

That is exciting, though I must confess, I did not find out they won until Sunday afternoon. What kind of alumnus AM I?
You'll have to buy an All Sports Pass ( :) )...and keep me informed.
