2/21/10

Dear Little Blog,

Oh dear. Have 20 days of neglect really gone by? I had better post something -- or your fan club [aka: Becca] might subject me to a fate worse than death.

P.S. Please excuse the bland blog header. I'm taking a self-instructed crash course in HTML. It's proving to be quite tricky. Try to endure the construction and debris as best you can.

Dear President's Day Weekend,

I can't thank you enough for giving me five days of freedom. My trip home was fabulous -- and so very much needed. I literally had to drag myself back up to Utah. Why is leaving home so hard?

Dear Neurotransmitters,

You are definitely solar-powered. I'm sorry the winter is so brutal on you. Hang in there. Spring should kick these sluggish and moody feelings right out the door.

Dear Valentine's Day,

I can't believe that you passed by me unnoticed. I didn't see so much as a box of conversation hearts or a Sponge Bob valentine. Admittedly, I wasn't too bent out of shape about it. Sorry?

Dear Pumpkin Chocolate-Chip Cookies,

Although you are traditionally an October treat, I made you anyway. I hear pumpkin is an excellent source of vitamin A and fiber -- which totally justifies me eating you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think today's total is already at... five?!

Dear Creative Juices,

Thanks for cooperating the past half-hour. I sure have missed you. Come around more often, alright? This blog needs more of your TLC.

Dear Emma,
Thank you very much for updating your blog. It only took twenty days of constant phone calls, text messages and emails from your "fan club" to get you to update. Good job hermana.
Love, the "fan club":)

I must admit I love your blog. You are so witty.

I agree with you about pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Yum!

And I hate to say it, but it never gets easier to leave home. Even when you have a home of your own, at least that is how it is for me.

Thank you for updating your blog. It brightened my day!

I have never found your creative juices to be less than optimal. Thanks for bugging her, Becca, so we could get our fix of "Emma-ness!"
